St Nicholas School PTFA

Dear Parents/Carers

St Nicholas School has had a successful, committed, hardworking PTFA for many years.

During this time, we have equipped the school with many resources, including:

  • Minibuses
  • A Playground with inclusive equipment
  • Sensory Room equipment
  • Electronic equipment including 3D printer, Digital cameras
  • Contributions towards trips
  • Annual Christmas gifts for each child
  •  And so much more…

We have run many fundraising activities including annual Christmas and summer fairs. We take great pride in bringing together our school’s community and aim to support each other to build friendships

Becoming a member

To support our school, we need the support of you all. As parents/carers you are automatically members of the PTFA, together with all the staff, and you may feel eager to join our committee.

The PTFA committee meet in a very informal way approximately once a term. The meetings last about 1 hour and serve the purpose of discussing events planned and as a way of meeting up with other parents/guardians. It is a nice way to meet others as unlike other schools, we don’t get that opportunity in the playground.

Many PTFA members have become friends over the years and enjoy sharing our children’s achievements and other news with each other as well. With the current Covid-19 restrictions in place these will be in the form of video calls and emails.

You do not have to become a member of the committee to help raise funds for our school. You can help in other ways at any of the events, or by collecting/donating raffle prizes etc.

We do love to welcome new faces and need your support to survive!  Please contact me on PTFAchair@stns.org.uk

If you do become a member of the committee, there is no obligation to attend every meeting (although you will miss out on coffee and cake) Agendas and minutes of the meetings will always be e-mailed, and these will be posted on the PTFA section of the school website.
