Careers Education
On 3rd March we partnered with Canterbury Academy to hold our annual "next steps" post 16 progression fair. 9 providers of post 16 courses for students with EHCP, plus Kent Supported Employment, came to meet our pupils and explain what they have to offer to help them on their path to employment once they leave school.
Here is a video of some past St Nicholas students speaking about their experience of the school at an NHS conference.
All Oak pathway classes from year 7 to year 10 were able to go along and start to form an idea of where they might like to go once their time with us finishes- pupils will have visited all these providers by the end of year 10 so should be able to make the right choice. We are very grateful to all these organisations who gave their time to meet our pupils; Liberty Training; Supajam; Brogdale; Beacon Plus; Canterbury Academy 6 Plus; Kent Supported Employment; Bemix; Lily's Bistro & Social Kitchen; East Kent College; and KITE College.
