Dear Parents and Carers
This week we received news that six of our staff had tested positive for Covid 19. We had to close two 'bubbles' which affected six classes to prevent the further spread of this virus. The advice we received from Public Health England and the local Kent Health Protection Team was to expect further positive cases linked to this outbreak. We are remaining very vigilant and ensuring that our hygiene, cleaning and face protection regimes are being followed as best as we can. Fortunately our staff, although very ill, are recovering.
Can I thank you for your support in collecting your children and keeping them at home. This is helping us to prevent the spread of the virus. Can I also thank you for your co-operation in keeping your children at home when our staffing falls below safe levels. These are extremely testing times and it seems that we are now in an area where infection is increasing.
We have put up our Christmas tree in the foyer and are looking forward to Christmas despite all of the difficulties around us. We hope to be able to share with you via video the Christmas shows that each class will put together. More details will follow later. We also are still anticipating a fleeting, socially distanced visit by Santa and Christmas presents for all of the children.
Best wishes
